Following in the footsteps of his illustrious father, the great Ali Farka Touré, Vieux innovates while carving a path all his own and breaking new ground for West African music. With 11 astounding albums in his repertoire, he has established himself as one of Africa’s most dazzling guitarists as well as one of its most exciting musicians.
Geoffroy will present songs from his debut album Coastline released in March 2017. Co-produced by Gabriel Gagnon, Max Gendron and Geoffroy, the Polaris Music Prize Long-Listed album features a solid mix of percussions, guitars, woodwinds, and analog keyboards and synths. He will perform with his full band, alongside saxophonist Charles Papasoff and more.
